When you say "do it yourself," do you mean to install the hitch in your tow vehicle yourself? Could be a simple task if you already have bed rails in the bed, but if you have never installed a fifth wheel hitch, make sure you do your research as to the placement of it. My experience tells me the center point of the pin should be two inches ahead of the center of the differential/ axles!

I will be installing everything myself. I order custom install bracket (part #56001) and outboard rail kit (part 30153). This will make the job a lot easier since there is no frame drilling and the rail bolts will be on the outside of the frame(and away from the fuel tank). I've watched a number of videos and read the direction a few time so im feeling pretty confident. If all else fails and the proverbial you know what hits the fan, I have a friend who is a certified auto mechanic :)
