I'm dealing with a similar problem with my Norcold. There are dozens of similar threads on the Montana Owners Club forums. The most common issue seems to be airflow deficiencies caused by improper installation, especially on units installed in a slide.
Common suggestions for confirming this are checking for obstructions in the upward airflow on the outside of the unit. Hooking up a supplementary fan to push air upward for 24 hours and checking results.
Less common are issues with the thermistor. This can be tested by simply unplugging it and checking your temp over the next 24 hours. If you have a multimeter you can also check the resistance (ohms) of the thermistor. If it's zero the unit isn't functioning correctly. I'm sorry, I don't remember the values it should be off the top of my head, but you can google it. Greater than zero though. :)
Anyway, I won't post the Montana Owners Club URL here, but it's probably worth looking into.
Good luck!
