My Pin weight with the trailer ready to camp (linens, cookware, etc ) with NO toys loaded in the back is 3310#. The unit is 16,300# with NO toys loaded in the garage.
I usually keep my tools, compressor, jack (HEAVY 3 ton), and my 2 labs in the bed of the truck adding another 500# or so to my truck. I have a DRW to pull this with, I would recommend you get your truck weighed at a CAT scale and work from there with what you have available for payload.
The XLR is a good trailer and has given me over 15k road miles of use and over 140 nights in the last few years of ownership.
