I tow a 2009 Keystone Outback Sydney 5th wheel (31 FRL) with a SRW 2004 Dodge 3/4 ton with a diesel engine...it has the same tow capacity as a 1 ton SRW...only difference is the vertical load capacity.
I installed a Roadmaster active suspension system on the rear which raises the load capacity...I have zero problems towing, stopping, or steering...The package tows flat and level.
I keep my trailer brakes adjusted and the brake controller adjusted to handle the load.
This may not be the best setup according to the "weight police", but it works for me with no problems.
