We have a rear kitchen and have not had anything flying around, and we have driven some pretty rough roads. We did have a drawer on the back wall near the floor come open one time, but an adjustment to the catch solved that problem. In the end your the one that will have to live with what you buy, so get what suits you. If you decide on the rear kitchen and things do move around, you can take the advice of some of the other owners when packing.
