We have had both. We did learn to pack things good and tie drawers and doors to where they did not come open with our rear kitchen. It didn't take very long to do this. It was just something you had to do each stop.
Now with the rear living we pack just like we do in our S & B with no problems.
As for the large window on the side it did give us a great view of our neighbors nice R V. It didn't take us too long to be happy without that view.
