Rear Kitchen VS Rear Living Room

Love my rear kitchen. We are full timers, and I do a lot of cooking. Have a ton of storage and counter space. Never had a problem with anything breaking or bouncing around more than any other coach we have owned. We have a window in the back, but it is smaller than a rear living unit. Doesn't matter to us, since we enjoy being outside.

on our second rear kitchen we fulltime and love the layout of this unit

What ever you get make sure you can open the fridge with the slides in.
Also if you need to winterize your trailer, a rear kitchen will use more antifreeze. Does a rear kitchen have two gray water tanks?

Two items
#1 access to the frige with the slides in is a personal choice. We don't have an issue with it blocked.

#2 we don't use antifreeze except in the P traps. I blow the lines as we four season camp, and don't want the hassle of flushing the lines to go out for a weekend!

Thanks for all of the replies. The unit is a 26' Keystone Cougar 245EFS. It's a 2004 but it's supposed to be in excellent condition. I actually want a unit that is a little smaller but that's a tough find. My wife really likes the pictures so I guess that's the most important consideration.

So far the only possible negative would be maybe not getting to the bathroom when the slide is in. I'll have to go look at it and see if that's a problem. If this floorplan is scaled correctly it doesn't look like it would be a problem.

Danrclem, Nice looking smaller unit. I don't see an issue with getting past the slide out with it in.

We have a rear kitchen and DW loves it and that is what matters. We have access to the residential fridge, bathroom, and bedroom when traveling.

We have had 2 5ers with RK's. Reasons are cabinet space and also entertainment viewing. Wife loves Big Kitchens, especially counter top space. Looking at your floor plan, I see nothing wrong with access to bath and it looks to have access to the Fridge with slides closed. I had a 2003 Cougar similar and loved it. It was just time to move on to new.

We are full timers and have had both. The RK is BY FAR our favorite! We appreciate the large kitchen with lots of counter and cabinet space. The RK makes the living area large also with opposing slide outs with many windows.

I have heard that some people complain that things "fall out of cabinets" while traveling but we have never had a problem like that.

Yep, personal preference.

We have had a rear kitchen, just prefer by far the view with the large rear living room windows.
