You will do better for summer solar heat transfer if you put the screen on the outside of the RV. Do not let the heat into the RV.
If you have to have it on the inside, look at MCD as they make roll up solar screens. We have had them on two RVS.

With our Valance/lambrequins and day/night shade, there would be no room for this type of shade. If we were in a warmer climate throughout the year or several months, then this investment and ease of use would be the way to go.
