My choice would be the Mobile Suites, 36TK3 to be exact. Going bigger will not only be approaching truck limits it will also severely limit you if you like state parks & National Parks for sites big enough to accomodate you. The 36 will be a stretch
The 36TK3 is a nice floorplan for the long termer. Lots of galley counter space which is very important to the cook. If you are planning on dry camping be sure to settle for nothing less than a 80gal water tank. The MS & our Alpenlite both have 100gal tanks making weeklong dry camping a breeze.
The 32TK3 was on our short list when we were looking along with the Alpenlite 34RLR which has a very close floorplan to the MS TK3s.
Be brutal on your choice. Get the right one the first time. Buying a mistake is expensive. Know what you want then scour online till that model pops up. Nothing wrong with used. Nothing wrong with well taken care of & lightly used older units either.
Agree with all above---
I got my 36TK3 used for 1/2 of what the MSRP was new. Unit is a 2008 (build 6/07) that I got in 2011 right at 4 years from manufacture date. I am within weight ratings for 3500 single rear wheel so you have plenty of truck. I would strongly recommend studying RV TRADER for used units to save $$. I have had only had a very few minor fixes and normal maintenance type items in 3 years I have owned the rig.
Be very particular when looking used (or new) rigs as I seen 3 other used units that I past on before finding the right on. Some were floor plan didn't work for us and some had been abused. Pay close attention to tires on used unit looking for uneven wear that could indicate tracking or something bent issues. Randu
