Redwood or Solitude?

Hey folks, we are looking at upgrading to a new 5er and have narrowed our decision down to two rigs, a Solitude and a Redwood. Both are about the same price and are both new. The Redwood is a 36RL and the Solitude is the same floor plan. The Redwood has more features and seems higher end. Which is the better buy??
  • Try looking for either of those models by 'advanced search'ing the headings in fifth wheels. There a bit out there.-
  • Well, we bought a 2014 Redwood 36RL in Sept 2013. It has been in the shop all but a month since then and going back into the shop for more repairs as of today. The Redwood has a lot "glitz" to it and that's what got us in Sept. We have had major problems with our unit from leveling system, to slide-out problems, to microwave problems to assorted other problems. It's going back to the shop because the sliding bedroom doors splintered some how when we took it to storage last week. I will say that Redwood has covered all repairs and continues to do. Unfortunately, we traded in a perfectlly good toy hauler for a high end (costly) residential unit and are having nothing but problems and grief. Thanks for listening.I could say even more, but I won't.
  • I wouldn't buy either one...But if the price is the same... the Redwood is the better buy. It should be worth a lot more.
