NO Frame problems were evident when the Pinbox was removed and replaced with the Goosebox. Nor were ANY evident until after the pothole collision and presumably failure crack occurred that got slowly worse with additional towing duration and stresses.
LOL...don't cloud the theories with your facts. :R
Like thousands of others that use a adapter you might have never had any issues until you hit that big hole in the road at that construction site that quote;
***...my truck’s transmission was partially disabled (Throttle Control actuator) – wnt into a limp mode, CD Player shut down, and glad the seat belts restrained us (and much later discovered the front box beam the supports the Wings for the Hitch was cracked). Got to Tucson AZ ok but found DW’s KitchenAid mixer (quite heavy) had bounced out of the RV Kitchen Sink (which put a divot in the linoleum floor) and truck was easily/inexpensively repaired. That must have been on BIG jolt!***
Will a GN adapter add more leverage to that area of the 5th wheel trailers frame ??? Sure. Thats a gimme.
And others have suffered the same results/failure with a regular 5th wheel hitch.
But if Endricksen hadn't hit that huge hole he would most likely still be tooling along with no issues...just like thousands of other happy GN adapter users that have had no issues.
