There are a lot of RV related items sold that should not be sold.
Maybe a marginal frame will do fine with the extra stresses of a GN (or GB) and the one extra little nudge will send it over the edge to failure.
A 5er frame is not designed to take the extra stresses from a GN adapter. You may be lucky and get by until you hit that little extra bump. A GN trailer frame is designed totally different that the typical 5er frame.
SO if you feel comfortable puahing the limits or over the limits, by all means use the GN adapter or the GB and say your prayers each night. With a light enough trailer yo might get by. With my trailer weight...no way in heck will it ever by pulled by a GN adapter or a GB. My engineering education and experience say ...NOPE.
I have witnessed the damage to two large high end trailers that had the pin box frame area torn out of them and both had a GN adapter. I have see a couple of others with damage starting.
You go with a poorly constructed and poorly welded Lippert, the problem is compounded.
