The rotational forces imparted by the gooseneck adapter would be transmitted through the links and pins of the tri-glide arrangement - a device designed to absorb fore/aft forces. That ignores the hinged lower jaw of the Trailair extended pin box, which again will now be tasked with absorbing the rotational moments.
