Reese or Curt

Well thanks all. I bought a used one. Reese 16k quick slide. an installer friend of mine checked it out, only used a couple times and is in perfect condition. just so happened he found it for me. will be installed next week. $230 for the hitch and rails, $350 installation with new hardware, bots and plug! ! ! ! ! I will be happy with it. Figured we are saving about $500. Just love it when a plan works out! ! ! Again, thanks for the help, information and conversation!!!

i have a reese select plus 20k and love it, its been an amazing hitch for us. I debated B&W however when comparing the two I liked the reese more. You cant go wrong with husky, reese, B&W or Curt in my opinion.

Same here. Never had a Curt...but LOVE my B & W. No popping, moaning or groaning from the back of the truck cab now.

So Jeff there you have it...There are a lot of hitches out there (Reese, Curt, B&W, Demco, Pullrite) doing what they were purchased to do which is to hook up and pull that 5er down the road to the next destination.

I agree with that if you don't need a slider go for the 18K, if you do need a slider then go for an auto slider....

Bottom line up front...all of them will get you down the happy RV trail safe and sound as long as it is installed correctly and the weight rating is correct...

IMO anyone that thinks they need a slider go automatic such as the Pullrite Superglide ISR series, once you have messed with a manual slider you will appreciate what I am saying.

I would agree with you on that!

We have the Curt Q24 and I like it. Once you back up to the pin, pull forward about 1" and it locks in place. I tow almost 20K lbs. of fiver. I did get one rated for 24K lbs. so I would not be too close to the max rating of the Q20.
