Referred Dealers

Hi guys,
It's nice to be back. I just sold my WW because it's time to upgrade to a 5er. I've been "looking" at local dealerships for a new rig (these beasts have come a long way!) Anyways I'm about 2 months away from buying but I have a pretty good idea what I need. In 06 I bought my WW from Giant RV and I got hosed. This time around I want to be sure I'm getting the best deal possible and feel good about the purchase, even if it means buying out of state. What are your guys thoughts on that? Are there any dealers you guys can recommend. Maybe some pointers on what to watch out for? I have read some threads on what to shoot for off MSRP. Can I still expect to get a good deal if I decide to order the unit rather than buying whats on their lot?
I'm looking for something with
A separate 13' or 14' garage
Rear bath (full bath for kids is a +)
Hydraulic leveling. I would jump on the new seismic 4114 but they use electric jacks.
I like the look of the frame-less windows.
3 slides
Residential fridge

I like the Momentum 397TH but the garage is only 12.5' My 4 seat rzr is 12' 8" with bumper and cage.
That's pretty much it.

Tow vehicle is a '11 dmax 3500 dually.

Any help is much appreciated.
  • I see you are in CA so have you checked out Toyhauler Liquidators in Fresno or Best RV in Turlock? Check internet for customer reviews. They are volume dealers and get them to sell it to you at sale price including tax, license, and all fees. They both include 2 new batteries and full propane tanks BTW. Remember they make their profit on add ons and not so much on the trailer. I had a new B&W companion in my truck and they wanted $2500 for a slider and they would keep my new companion. Total rip off!! Buy, hitch up, and get the heck out of there.
  • We drove 850 miles for ours as my "local" dealer wouldn't come any closer than $9500 more on my TH. Bought at Jeff Couch's in OH. Fantastic overall experience. Fun road trip to get there. Then we stayed overnight testing the systems to make sure everything worked. Drove it home over two days stopping off at Cabelas for an overnight. Then when any small warranty stuff came up, they would just send me the replacement parts and if they wanted the old parts back, they'd include a call tag. This worked out great because who really wants to drag a 44' monster to a dealer to get a window crank handle replaced... etc.... Anyways, they average 36 percent off the fake MSRP. You can do a build and price right on their website too. You do have to provide an email address to get the quote but it's instant and they do not pressure you after that.
  • XLR is an awesome company to deal with and I'm big on their products. I responded to your PM and if you have any further questions about XLR or Couch's, feel free to write me anytime!

Have you looked at the new WW built by the RV Factory in Indiana? They have all the requirements you mentioned. I think they have a factory or sales lot of sorts in Mesa AZ.
  • I'm also in the market for a new rig. I did purchase my last one with Giant RV also. Now I'm looking into the Raptor 352,355 and Fuzion 369. I might drive up to Bestrv if Mike Thompson doesn't match the price.
