- LwiddisExplorer III’d ask at an AZ DMV office if I couldn’t do the math. But does it really matter if you will register there anyway?

- CA_TravelerExplorer IIIFirst year vehicle value is 60% of mfg value, reduced by 16.25% each year. Mfg value is in some data base accessed via VIN. Registration for a given year is the yearly value/100*2.89. Ie 2.89 is the vehicle rate per $100 of value.
Therefore a $100,000 2020 used rig would cost: $1734 for 2020 and $1452 for 2021. Rather pricey.
Update 7/13/21 2.89 is the rate for a used vehicle and 2.80 is the rate for a new vehicle. This is per AZDOT on 7/13/21. AZDOT can supply the current year rate and manufactures value for a vehicle given the VIN. Check AZDOT for commercial rates, small utility trailers, reproduced vehicles etc. - LwiddisExplorer IIAZ truck registration appears more expensive than California. Wow.

Do you ever go somewhere to put down that kind of change without knowing at least a ballpark of what it will cost? - C_SchomerExplorerFYI, when I moved there in 03, I had to take my 5er in for an inspection... IIRC just a VIN inspection. So be prepared. Craig
- Me_AgainExplorer IIII bought an utility trailer to move my Can Am Spyder three wheel motor cycle between Arizona and Washington each spring and fall. $175 for a life time plate!Cars, trucks and RV are really expensive in Arizona however.

My brother just did his 2019 F350 $1700. But that was for 5 years. It was around $700(?) in CA for 1 year. - goducks10ExplorerGotta collect some revenue some how some way when you have no or very little state taxes. One way or another it all adds up to what each state thinks it needs to operate on.
