Seems like most of the dropped 5ers are with Reese jaw style hitches. I have had the same Hijacker sliding bar hitch since 1997. Never felt a need to do a pull test. When the bar trips and slides behind the king pin and the lock pin or a padlock is in place, there is little chance that the trailer is going to drop. I use a padlock when on the road. Chris
