Removal of SuperGlide Capture Plate from Morryde Pin Box

Has anyone remove the special capture plate that is used on the Morryde Pin box to work with the Superglide hitch? The reason I ask is we are moving from a short bed to a full bed with a new Pullrite...

Mine was always welded on. Not sure why the dealer did that. They can be removed by grinding welds. I watched a friend remove the capture plate that was bolted on and he had zero problems. I think you will be fine.
