Replacing an Analog Thermostat with a Digital

I currently have the Analog Duo-Thermo by the brand we all know n love....Dometic. Now, I would love to replace it with a Digital model so that 1. I can have exact temp readings in the RV and 2. program her to turn ON/OFF automatically or raise/lower the temps when I want.

Has anyone already done, advice, product recommendation you bought, etc.

    LOL that is what I was looking for to share. I am on my third trailer with a Hunter thermostat mod. One of the easiest and best mods to do IMHO. You could also put "digital thermostat" in the search box above and get a ton of info.

    Also folks, just because I'm replacing an RV t-stat does the device have to be an "RV exclusive" device? i.e. can a digital, programmable thermostat that one uses in a condo or single family house, be easily be installed in an RV? Or, are there restrictions on a t-stat used in an RV and must be "RV use only?"

    Got mine at Walmart for around 20 bucks. Just a regular household one.

    Nope

    Regular house thermostat's run off 24VAC, they will not run off 12 VDC, period.

    It must be a battery powered "house" type.

    When you spring, spend a couple extra bucks if you have to to get the tstat that has a face that illuminates when you posh the buttons.

    I did my first one without and it was a PITA. With the illuminated face you can do it in the dark or low visibility, and you will not have to listen to, "turn that blankety blankety light off. :W

    Best suggestion you have so far(not including the link from Brirene). I have a digital and programmable that was OEM in this rig, once I get it all sorted out and the TV cabinets finished, I will install a backlit residential unit.

    I've got to do this on the new fiver. Will be using my last Hunter 42999. They were on clearance one day so I picked up a couple spares. gave one away.

    Did another company start making the 42999? I came across a Supco 43054 on Amazon. Looks just like the old discontinued Hunter so many of us used years back.

    any BATTERY powered thermo will work I used a Honeywell all the wiring is the same Sure is better than the POS that came with the camper
