Replacing ST 235/80/16 with LT

I went with 245/75/16 Goodrich commercial ta's. width is not a problem on mine. rim width is fine, but you need to make sure you have the extra room on the inside of rim so tire won't rub against the trailer. there's very little difference in these 2 sizes

The 245/75's are smaller diameter but all specs say 6.5+ width rim. The 235/85 specs specify 6.0+. I guess I'll have to go with the 235/85.

When I switched to 235/85/16 B.F.Goodrich Commercial TAs my X Chocks worked fine. Then I switched to Michelin Ribs same size, and they won't fit now. The Ribs are about 1/2" closer together. Small price to pay for great tires.
