My 21 year old LP/electric fridge is still going fine. We've had them in two truck camper and three 5th wheel trailers. Some places we camp don't have 110v/water so I like the long term simplicity of the LP system in those circumstance.
Some like the LP fridge system and some don't..... just like some like GM trucks and some don't like a Ford trucks.
