Yep, exactly what I used to do with the Norcold. Once I got the Samsung, I started going up to the storage yard as soon as I'd get up (3 miles away) the day of the trip. The fridge would be ready to go within 2-3 hours. That is in summer FL heat.
With the addition of the solar, little worry since the Samsung runs so little once at temperature.
I never really worried about battery drain since the inverter will shut down if the batteries drop to a certain level. That level still allowed enough power for the jacks, etc., especially once hooked to the truck.
