Right side, left side?

Which side of a trailer is considered right side and which is left? I always thought a vehicle side was determined by sitting the seat, Driver side left, passenger side right side. friend disagrees with me. what do you say?

  • Always from the prospective of the driver sitting in the driver's seat.
That way when the mechanic explains the front right wheel needed air the driver will know what was done.

Same here. Or street side and curb side. No further discussion either way.
  • Drivers side is left side and passenger side is the right side. When you have a RV in tow its the same idea. My door on my TT is on the right=ditch side
  • Your analysis is correct

    Rightside...passenger side....Curbside
    Leftside....drivers side......Roadside

Just try and put a 'rightside' brake assembly on the leftside (roadside) of trailer. It will be backwards!

  • I was always told
The left sides the right side,
the right sides the wrong side.

    Oh wait,,, thats for horses
