Road King Tires - Rrrgh

Only 1.5 yrs / 8,000 miles and 3 tires ruined. Big blister appear on sidewall then they blow. What to do?
Anyone have suggestion on a better tire? Want to replace all of them. Will deal with warranty also.
As I'm told, dealers put cheapest brand on new units to keep price down. No doubt my rig is living proof.
  • Also you may want to look into the Geostar 574 14 ply, we have about 10k on ours and are still looking great, ebay has a great deal on them at times and are quite abit less than the GY and in my opinion are built the same, just my 2 cents worth...
  • If you have 7K axles the next best option is switch to 17.5 inch tires and wheels
  • Hard to find a 16 LT in a G rated tire if that is what you need. The Sailun 637is a good option as is the Goodyear RST 614. I opted for the Goodyear because of the weight rating but toyed with purchasing the Hankook F19 It is rated at 3330 lb. Good luck!
  • I don't know what size you need, but I can recommend the Sailun S637 235/85-16 LT tire. I've not put a huge number of miles on them, but they seem to be holding up very well. They went on after the Carlisle tires went BOOM after less than 2 years and 8,000 miles.
  • More dollars, but I recommend Michelin XPS Ribs if your weight is right. Put mine on 6 years ago, never a low tire, and they still look almost new. Will definitely age out before they wear out.
  • You didn't list the tire size on your post. According to your manufacturer's website, you have G Rated 16 inch tires on your fifth wheel. I'd dump the ST China Bomb tires and go with a good quality LT truck tire manufactured in a country other than China.
