Finally, long awaited update :)
Dropped coach off May 1st and picked back up yesterday. Not only was the entire rubber roof replaced, they took care a number of minor warranty items that arose during several of our previous trips. All in all, good people, and work appears to be good (so far :) )
But.....(and there's always a but, right?)
When we bought the coach, we turned down the LCD tv's that came with it, and opted for second A/C unit in the forward bunk house. The aero portion of the unit was pointing forward (as it should i guess). We didn't notice it at first, but after backing the coach in at home and taking the time to walk around (to admire the built up dirt LOL), we notice the forward A/C unit is now mounted (or turned) 90* to the right so the aero part is pointing to the door side of the coach. Coincidentally, the collapsible TV antenna sits aft of the unit ~ 7 inches or so (which was a warranty hit list because it wouldn't spin, but would raise). Taking measurements of the A/C unit, with it pointed back forward again there would still be about 7 inches clearance. Prior to work, when ant was flat, it layed at the 2 o'clock position looking forward, but now lays at the 7 o'clock position. Talked to them on the phone today and the tech told the SM it had to be turned for the off-air antenna. I find that hard to believe since the ant raised fine with it pointed forward. At any rate, the SM asked us to send pics prior to roof replacement (which we did) and what it looks like now (100+ miles away) so he could compare and discuss with techs.
My question is has anyone seen forward a/c units mounted like this on coaches? My concern now is that with the weaker portion of the cover facing forward, something flying off the road could hit the plastics fins and shatter the cover. Worse yet, with age, air could lift the cover off due to sun-weakened fasteners and plastic, all while driving. If the antenna is the concern, i'm contemplating telling them to turn it back 90* as I don't plan on raising it anyway. Never did on the previous coach.
