Route-1 Low Clearance database

I have a Garmin Nuvi 2460LMT GPS and just came across this low clearance database. It is supposedly compatible with Garmin units and I'm thinking of ordering the US and Canada d.b.'s, but would like to find out if anyone here has used it. If so, how did it work for you? Was it easily compatible and easy to update? They claim nearly 6000 clearance points in their d.b., with regular updates? True?

  • I've had the 1 year sub. Problem is it doesn't route around low bridges, just gives a warning ding on the gps as you approach like any poi. You install them with the garmin poi loader. By then you may be commited. Better than nothing but I don't think it is better than a gps with the ability to avoid low bridges based on a height profile you enter -or an app like co pilot that does same. With low clearance it is best to trip plan with several sources.
