I cannot see an advantage to using the furnace while traveling. If I am not in the RV then the heat is wasted on my winterized space.
It takes the same time to set up the 5er as it takes to heat it up-at least in mine. So stay winterized until you must dewinterize.
If the weather is that cold stay winterized and eat in restaurants and use the campground shower.
Like the Op my vents are covered so, IF I wanted to heat the rV for some unforeseeable by me reason, then I would use my generator and my oil radiator heater.
Maybe if I had uncovered vents or was in a motorhome I would consider using the propane heater.
BTW I can drive from Duluth to New Orleans in two days pulling my 5er so at the most I am looking at one night before I am in warm weather.
