Believe me, these are not real tight or balanced furnaces and ducts. I don't think you could restrict flow.
I've used mine on the road when traveling back over the rockies. It can get cold up there and if it snows you can get caught in traffic for a while. The furnace warms the tanks and belly on mine.
The only think I don't really know is if it struggles to stay lit because of wind or airflow across the outside vent. With the auto-relight, I can't tell.
