We prefer a "portable" electric heater (oil type) as opposed to the fireplace as we can put the heat where we want it in the trailer.
I also run a dedicated 12 ga. extension cord from the pedistal, through the slide opening, just to power the heater so as to not overload the power panel in the fiver.
