Sorry - didn't mean to Hijack your thread. I use both the electric fireplace and heater, I keep them both on the lower settings most of the time, and the electric heater is always at least 3 feet from combustibles because I usually keep it on the floor by the island or on a countertop where they are safe. I enjoy them both and they each have their place. Again - did not mean to offend.
