I just now seen on Weekend Warriors facebook page that they, The RV Factory, have acquired Augusta RV which is also a factory direct company who recently started to build a toy hauler and has built higher end 5th wheels under the Luxe and Ambition names.

I wonder if this is why the Luxe Hauler never made it on their website? I saw the countdown counter running backwards for months, it hit zero, nothing ever came online, and now the page is gone.

I wondered the same thing, seemed odd to promote the count down only to fail to deliver. By moving to all Factory Direct I get the feeling that failure is in the future too, that just seems to be a way to advertise they can't deliver to the dealers. Now with Omega RV coming out with their "Weekend Warrior" it really makes me wonder what's going on behind the scenes of both companies. There has to be a legal fight going on still over the name.

Not sure but I don't think they want to have dealers as such. They say they can offer the customer more by being factory direct...who knows. I know the RV Factory was the cleanest, non rushed and most organized of any factory I've been through. The thing I liked also about the RV Factory was the availability of having a lot more build options, a lot more than other manufacturers I've visited.

They can offer more options and customization for sure being manufacturer direct. However, with an already abysmally weak warranty system in the RV industry, do you want to have only one guaranteed location to get warranty work done? I guess if I lived in state but imagine being across the country? It just doesn't seem like a viable business model for product that will more likely than not need brand specific repairs done under warranty...

Regarding warranty concerns...you do not need to bring your Weekend Warrior back to the factory for service. They allow you to have repairs performed locally and will pay for it.
