RV Insurance
Looking for a good insurance company for our 5th wheel, all suggestions please

I suspect it is always cheaper to add an RV to your truck policy. Might not be what you want in terms of coverage.
I'm currently with Farmers. The fiver is just an added rider.
Regarding Allstate, yes we had a claim on our last trailer while we were an Allstate customer. No complaints really, they covered the claim and were easy to work with. But I would have to say that the adjuster freely admitted that he knew nothing about travel trailers, and had no company resources to help him with the claim. He gave me a few repair companies to call for estimates, and he said they would accept any of them. I chose one, and once the work started, the repair shop had to increase the cost a bit, and Allstate had no issues with that as far as I know. They worked directly with the shop on those details. For these reasons, I don't think I would recommend them, based solely on their lack of RV experience. I would still be with Allstate, after being a customer for over 20 years, but alas, their prices skyrocketed a few years ago for no apparent reason.
