Depends on driving record, where you live etc. I assume. For us, the policy with the safe driving discount only helped people with bad records. They pay a higher initial rate with discounts each year they remain safe. I have a clean record for many years. The regular rate for already safe drivers was lower. At least here thats the way it works with Allstate. Have to pay extra to later get a discount that we could get anyways without the extra premium.
Makes sense, for us we had/have a clean driving record so it must be based on where we live.
