RV roof collapse covered by insurance?

Would a insurance storeage policy cover a roof that partially collapsed? We paid a guy to keep snow off it but it's like a swimming pool up there this spring.
  • The guy you paid didn’t do his/her job. Sue him and file an insurance claim. Your independent agent is your friend.
  • Unless it could be tied to one catastrophic event...they will probably call it a maintenance issue.

A common joke is if you have a leaky rotted roof...go run it into a low hanging branch so the insurance will cover it.
  • I think you would have to ask your insurance agent.
It could posibly be considered lack of maintenance that caused the collapse. Was the collapse caused by one storm or a slow buildup over the winter?
