Others have posted ideas on pros and cons of neighbors, picking a good park, etc. I will put this out there for purchase Vs. lease. If you purchase then you have the tax obligation, electric, water and phone - Normally. Check the parks policy. Second, leasing you Usually get all except electric, again check. But if you want to side step the tax obligation, leasing makes more sense. Also you can leave at any time on a lease (with reasonable notification). I looked in Florida at about 50 parks for a site. I asked about purchase versus lease. I finally settled on a beautiful park (one of the few Good Sam 10-10-10 parks) and a leased lot. Couldn't be happier.
