I haven't found a good LT tire that would fit my 5'er unless possibly changing rims. It has 235/80R16's and clearance is limited for any taller or wider tire.
To me it's a myth that all RV tires made in China are China Bombs. Maxxis is a great tire and made in China. Carlisle is made mostly in USA and known for problems on RV's. There are good tires and bad tires regardless of where they are made.
I originally changed out my China bombs for BFG Commercial TA's. BFG is owned by Michelin. They have a good 16" LT tire with a steel sidewall. If you wish Michelin XPS are in a size that you can use on your 5er. That is what I have now. They had a recall on the BFG and then replaced them with the XPS mounted and balanced no charge.
