RVT.com, Anybody Use Them to sell RV?

Like said before RV trader is great for long range comparisons and learning about what you like and don't like about rigs you're shopping for.

We found ours 3 hours away from the Portland on RV Trader area but sold our pickup camper on CL in three weeks.

I just sold my fifth wheel a week ago through RVTrader. It took about 3 months.. I had a number of folks email me and a few came out to see it in person. I also listed it on RVT with zero responses but a lot of folks looked at it online. Also used CraigsList but no response.
RVTrader worked for me.

I've sold on CL several times and been happy with it. When searching, I like RVT way better than RV Trader and am more likely to purchase trough them. The search just seems to be easier to tailor to what I want.

I've bought/sold roughly 10 times over the years and have learned that you MUST buy right in order to be able to sell at a price that it will move quickly. Anyone getting no responses or inquiries for weeks or months is overpriced. There's really no other possibility. It's economics at its purest.

Bare in mind that when you post on RVT or similar pay for sites you compete with dealers that may guarantee the product for at least a month. So, you have to price yours accordingly. I would go with dealers that sell for a commission. There, your trailer would have good exposure for walk ins, provided the dealership or used RV lot has that exposure and located in the right place to sell.

sold mine through rvt cost $30.

I sold mine through CW, which took about 4 months, and the fees were not that bad.
If you want to move your rv you need to price it at low retail, and sometimes wholesale.

I ended up selling my FW through Craigslist, though my RVT ad was still running. Out of all in inquiries I got in the nearly 2 years it was listed, about 60% were scammers. In all, I got probably 2 dozen emails via RVTrader and RVT, combined and another 2 dozen through CL. D@mn low-profiles are NOT in demand, at all. :(

I tried selling my last fifth wheel on RV Trader, Craigslist and several others. It was in perfect condition, loaded with options and priced lower than any of the other competition. After several months I received not a single inquiry. Not one! Some geographic areas are worse for selling than others. Finally trade it in on what we wanted. Happy to see it all end. Lost some money but that's life. Didn't get into this to look at it like an investment.

An option is to leave the trailer with an RV dealer that takes in RV's for consignment, usually for 10% of the sale price.
