  • Pretty crazy, but the drunk guy was found, and charges made on even his dad who tried to help cover for his drunk 25 year old son. Been interesting reading all the news reports and postings on Sand Adiks and other groups.

Just another reason I only drink around the campfire AFTER the quad and RZR and locked up for the night and we really don't ride after dark either.

But yes, it is maddening, when my daughter is harnessed into the RZR I want to know that the other RZR coming over the hill is not piloted by a drunk idiot. Or a guy that ''just a had a couple beers, but is fine''..........

And you never want to be the guy that had 2 beers, rode the RZR and yet hit someone accidently. Drinking is not an accident. Running and hiding makes it much worse for this guy. He'll do some good time. Rumor has it he has 4 DUI already. And now there is a boycott on his dad's business too. Since his dad helped to cover it up.

This is what really yanks my chain. I can understand a single DUI, I've had 2 friends get pulled over and they changed their ways. But then we get yahoo's like this that get 3-4-9 and they are still out of jail. Ugh!

As for his dad, welcome to Karma. I hope his business does fail, protecting your kid is one thing but what he did crossed way over the line.
  • A friend of mine was at a fair with her two young children when a 12 year old on an ATV ran into the crowd. She and both her kids were severely injured.

A few drunk idiots ruin it for everyone, now they've caused eternal pain to two people and countless family and friends. So sad.

if any of that mattered to them they never would have put that to their lips. forbid that happen to their family. but someone else. meh its all good.
booze and nothing but pepsi or coke mixes with each other.
    everything else is off limits.

    sad to hear that happen.

like i tell my kids. if you dont like or want it to happen to you. dont do it to them.

I can relate about the multiple dui, was told its much more common than you would think...

Last year was hit while waiting at a stop light, completely stopped for at least 30-60 seconds. Then slam, hit from behind. He left no skid marks and cops say it was a 45mph road so he was probably going at least that fast. He went under my F350 bumper and totaled his Buick.
My Ford F350 Platinum got the damage you see in the pic. My hitch and bumper/brackets/hitch electrical socket had to be replaced.
I was summoned/depositions/etc to court no less than 9 times as a victim.

This was his 4th DUI.But he had a valid license, the cop showed it to me. And he was uninsured as of the day before the accident... I can't even pronounce his name, but the DA said its a Turkish name. Not sure if it matters, but he isn't even a citizen of the USA.

He has paid me $256.00 in restitution so far, and is on probation.
How does anyone get 4 DUI and not go to jail,? the Da couldn't tell me the answer..?
This last dui of his was a felony convection.
I told the DA lucky he hit me and not the motorcycle right next to me in the next lane over. He would have killed that motorcycle dude.

  • 4 DUIs at 25 yrs old? My god... And those were only the times he got caught.
