bumpy - John___AngelaExplorerThese kind of baseboard heaters work. Permanently installed. Low wattage 300 to 500 watts. Install in multiple locations for even heat. Also under floor heating works good under laminate.
- kakampersExplorerWe use an oil filled radiator...only one we feel safe using overnight as we have pets.

One for the stick and brick, one for the fifth wheel and one for the motor home.

We have used the same VORNADO heater for the last ten+ years. They are an excellent product, but not cheap. I would buy another one if ours should "die."
Donna & Mike
yep $110 vs $19 for a ceramic cube putting out the same heat

When I use a heater like these I want the best quality possible and as safe as possible. We have the Vornado also.
Don - ol_Bombero-JCExplorerSmall (cube type) ceramic heaters.
When I use those, set them up on counters, not close to objects - and *never* on the floor.
Medium setting.
Oil filled heaters are great - as above - not too close to anything.
For me - no furnace.

We have a couple of Vornado DVTH Whole Room Vortex Heaters in our 5th wheel. One in the livingroom, one in the bedroom.
We run them at night while sleeping. I do not feel unsafe. We have used them for years.
They will keep the camper comfortable down below outdoor temps of 30. After that, the furnace will kick on occasionally.
We use one of these in our 5er. We are good to about 30.
The Vornado has to be the best electric heater there is. We use the AVH2. Love the way it it turns itself up and down to maintain the set temp (not off and on)if you set it to 72 it stays 72 not somewhere between 65 and 80.
Its worth every penny of the $90 I paid for it. Comes with a 5 year warranty that they really honor only question they ask is date of mfg. then they email you UPS shipping label. - RinconVTRExplorerI use a compact ceramic heater, very much like this;
http://www.amazon.com/Holmes-Compact-Ceramic-Thermostat-HCH4051-UM/dp/B000V50GI0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1416533597&sr=8-2&keywords=compact+space+heater
I also use a plug in thermostat to control the temp accurately.

What made it difficult to find was that I had to have a tip over switch with all the four legged critters in the camper with us. i did not feel conformable with the "overheat shut off" ones.

I have never known my little space heaters to jump up & start dangerously dancing around while I sleep. They behave themselves by day. Why not at night?
If plugs & wires are not hot, all should be fine. If it makes you feel safer run the heater at the low heat setting.
x2
Might have upwards of 3 of them running on low all through the night. Use the little box ceramic heaters and do make sure they are cleaned out on a regular basis - use compressed air.
No dogs or rug rats in the camper but do make sure they are up on tables/counters at bed time so no one knocks them over on the way to the bathroom.
