Got a quote today for $635.00 tax, mounted ,and balanced for a set of four ST 235/85/16 G rated Sailun S637's. Rated @ 4400 lbs @ 110 psi. This seems to be a decent price shopping around. How doe...

Got them mounted ,and balanced today, and out the door for 635.01 all said ,and done. Thats a far cry from what I had to pay for the Goodyear G614 nearly 7 years ago.
They are ST now , and rated for 4400 lbs, instead of the 3750 they used to be. The 235/80/16 are rated for 4050 lbs.
I have been curious has the structure/integrity of the tire changed?
Is it same tire with different label/rating.
Or is it a structurally different tire.
Not sure if you or anyone else has any insight. Just curious.
My older 637 have been fantastic
