Sailun tires versus Michelin
I have to make a choice here, and both seem like huge overkill, but I am looking for opinions.
Sailun tires are S637 235/85/16 They carry a lot more, 3750 at 110 psi compared to Michelin LT XPS Rib 235/85/16 that carry 3042 at 80 psi
Sailun is 11/32 depth, Michelin is 15/32
Sailun is 61 pounds per tire, Michelin is 55 pounds per tire.
I would be running them at about 50% capacity for the Sailuns and about 60% for the Michelins.
Sailuns are about an inch bigger than the original 235/80/16. Michelins are about another half inch tall. I think the height would be an advantage, I could use another inch in hitch height.
Both super tough tires, but the Goodyear Marathons build in 2008 have to go before we go too much further and they cause a huge problem.
And both about the same price too.
What do you think?
