Sailun Tires

I am picking up my new Heartland Big Country and it had load range G Sailun tires on it. For anyone who has these tires what has been your experience with them? Thanks in advance.

  • Only Chinese manufactured tire that I know of that meets same stringent ISO audits (TS 16949) that my company has to meet to compete in the world market and have a good reputation when it comes to manufacturing a Quality product....To attain this certification, they have to prove out and have records on all manufacturing and Quality processes involved in their manufacturing processes. All training records, management, finances, ESH, HR and on...So I too will look at these tires when time to replace my GY G614's due to the fact that they cost less but seem to be every bit as good as the GY G614's.

Yes, GY will repair/replace tire(s) or repair any damamge done if one of their G614's fail...Don't know if Sailun will or not...haven't heard of any failures from them yet, so guess the jury is still out on that...would be best if there never was a tire failure and one had to replace a failed tire or repair damage to their 5er caused by a failed tire.

I'd recommend the Sailuns to the OP and tell you I think you have a good one...keep us posted if you don't mind on how well they do. Keep inflated to recommended psi...

    thanks,

  • I have seen them mentioned in forums for around 2 yrs without any negative post YET. Have to see what time brings.

  • Some claim the Good Year G rated and Sailun are on par, but Good year will pay for damage to the trailer for blow outs and tread separation. It appears one gets and insurance policy with the Good Year tires if that is true. This a claim and should be verified.
  • I like mine, not that many miles on them yet, but they seem to be a quality tire. They're on a triple axle toyhauler. Put them on a year and a half ago.
  • My Sailun's are 2 seasons old now. No issues about 12000 miles I guess.
    They are very heavy duty.
  • Through some research, and some advice from the Dutchmen Forum, I replaced my factory tires with these tires. They are quite possibly, the best trailer I have owned. They are heavy and they seem to be doing well. I have about 2k miles on them now, will put another 1000 on them next week. So far so good.

  • I have researched these tires extensively and have not found anything negative yet. In fact I just ordered a set today for our new to us Corsair that has nearly new Carlisles on it which I do not trust.
