Sailun tires

As many know as of late there have been some Sailun tire failures , what I have seen ,and read its been tread separation, and damage to some fifth wheels . So far it has been the Vietnam made Sailun S637's . Have not read any about the China made Sailun

Purpose of this thread is to report that Sailun has paid this one individual that I have been following his thread on the Montana Owners forum , titled " Sailun Tire Failure " The thread was started last July .He just replied on that thread he had been compensated for the tire ,and damages . Great news for Sailun owners that are having these failures , and damage. His tire was the ST 235/80/16 S637

Sailun has been a quality tire with a great reputation ,but lately these Vietnam made are having issues ,they appear to have been made in the last year to 18 months .

Anyone that cares to read the thread over there it's in the tire section . A lot of reading its 8 pages.
  • Until Sailun fix theirs problem I stay away.I read that Hankook tire come with a trailer tire(TH31) and I don't hear no problem with them,Carlisle CSL16s another one.Stay away from Sailun I know from my experience that a blow tire(Goodyear 614) can make a lot of damage.
  • Have to get new sneakers for the BC next year and currently have Sailuns and probly go w/ them again. Current ones look like brand new despite being 6 years old next year.
  • So far as I know, I'm the only one who has had a section of tread separate on a two year old China made Sailun S637 215/75R17.5. Like the others tire never lost air and didn't even know it happened until a day later as that section of tire just disappeared with no damage.
I switched to the Sailuns after a 4 1/2 year old GY G114 blew and did some minor damage.
