I have always rented movies, not once have I hooked up satellite tv or cable. I'll be staying in my trailer for 2 months for work and I'd like to get something. I'm sure the there is a provider at the RV park, but I was wondering if I can piggy back off my Direct TV account at home or how everyone else does it? Thanks in advance.

Probably should read up in Technology forum. It's been discussed a lot in the last 12 years.

Take your home receiver, buy a dish, aim and setup, call the provider to change the service address.

Im assuming the OP will be seperated from his family for thia two months. So based on that thought he can do it. But he could go with dish pay as you go.

Just to understand correctly, I can take one of my receivers, buy a satellite kit and I'm good to go? Do I need to tell Direct of the location change? If so, why is that? Thanks again.

thats not necessary. depending on how far from home area, locals may still come in. DTV doesnt need to know everything....hahaha
