Bought a sports car once that the dealer said in writing he would warranty for as long as I owned it as long as he did all the prescribed maintenance. First time I took it in and then got the bill I found out why. If I did the maintenance myself and put the extra money in the bank I could pay for another new car before the standard manufacturers warranty expired.
