I hear you. Years ago I bought an extended warranty on my first VCR recorder. Never needed it! So NO MORE WARRANTIES! I mentally book the warranty cost for all items that I purchase, and I am way ahead of the game over the last 30-40 years.
When the Norcold refer on the boat failed I built my own custom box with a top load freeze and married the old door to the new much larger refrig section. Over the last year I reupholstered the boat myself.
Now if I bought one of these new super complex new diesel trucks I would be inclined to purchase an extended factory warranty.
