I'm starting to build confidence in the trailer saver solution with the motivation of optimizing the tow experience. What I like about Andersen is simplicity. What i don't like is how precise the hookup has to be and the lack of any shock absorbing capability as found in the b&w. What I like about b&w is the jaw tolerances and more forgiving hookup process What I like about the Hensley trailer saver ts3 is the latitude in hookup plus the transfervif forward motion to downward motion and the airbags. What I don't like is the 300 weight...
The shock absorbing , not sure that makes any sense if you are referring to a conventional fifth wheel hitch versus the Andersen, no idea what you think you get as far as shocking absorbing, unless you think that kingpin is bouncing up ,and down in the hitch :) Unless you are referring to air ride pin box or hitch, not aware B&W sells an air ride hitch.
As far as precise hookup as I explained in my previous post, not a big deal, unless you want to make it one, truck has to be pretty lined-up with ANY hitch, if its a bother to get out of your truck to check front to back, then by all means don't buy an Andersen, unless you start getting pretty good at it like I have. I don't mind getting out of the truck, it does seem some do .
