We have two 1" x 5" pcs of Velcro, one mounted on the top left of the fridge door and the other mounted on the top right of the door. Then we put a 10" Velcro mating pc. across the two and the door will not open (even if you forget it's there and pull hard). When not moving we just move the top Velcro pc. to one side.
