Securing my Samurai in my toyhauler

What suggestions for securing my Samurai in my toy hauler? My original plan was to lay 2 strips of e track and tying down the axels to the e track. I do not like the idea of having the strips of e track on my floor, and instead thinking of upgrading the d rings but I'm not sure what points on the Samurai I would use to tie down to. Anyone haul a Samurai in their TH and how did you do it? Pics below of the Samurai in the hauler and you can see the current d ring locations, they are bolted to the frame of the trailer but I'm sure the rings themselves are not strong enough.

  • Dang, this thread is not nearly as interesting as I thought it would be. I read the subject line and though you had taken personal protection to the next level and actually carried a live Japanese warrior with you. Oh well, on to the next post.
  • I've never hauled a car but lots of quads. Much lighter but in my opinion, the absolute best way to secure a vehicle is to have reinforced D-rings spaced properly so one is in front and behind each tire. Then I run a ratchet strap from one ring over the tire and down to the other ring. Ratchet it down firmly.

This keeps the flex of the vehicle off the strap. Its better for the vehicle's suspension and better for the straps.

    Just my .02.
