Must call total BS on this statement. The ONLY time I smell oil/gas fumes in my trailer is when the bikes are inside the trailer, the smell leaves with them. I've had bikes fall over and spill a considerable amount of fuel and once the fuel is cleaned up and the fumes evaporate it does not smell anymore, the fabric does not absorb the smell. Don't let that be a reason for dismissing an open floor plan. I've read it so much on this forum and it is just not correct.
I have to agree. The only time we ever had any smell is when I forgot to close the manual petcocks on carbureted machines. The bouncing caused fuel to leak out of the carburetor bowl overflows.
